With the FDA authorizing a single booster shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 and Moderna vaccines for the following people, as long as six months has past since their second dose:
- People age 65 and older
- People ages 18 through 64 who are at high risk of severe COVID-19 infection
- People ages 18 through 64 who are at high risk of exposure and transmission at work or in institutional settings, such as long-term-care settings
Waveny has begun offering staff at all of it’s facilities the ability to receive either the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 or Moderna Booster Shots this week in accordance with CDC and FDA guidelines. All staff are eligible, as long as they meet the six month criteria set by the FDA.
