Build: The New Waveny Center

What the Center Will Offer:

  • Patient-Centered Design: 30 private rooms tailored for comfort and accessibility
  • Family-Focused Spaces: Warm, inviting areas for rewarding time together
  • Advanced Technology: Telemedicine systems for real-time physician and rehabilitation specialist care
  • Expanded Rehab Services: A modern outpatient center for physical, occupational, and speech therapies
  • Spiritual Care: An all-inclusive chapel for emotional support and meditation

FUNDING THE PROJECT

Donation Goal: $11 million

Supports construction, advanced technology, furnishings, and contingencies.

*Total Cost: $36 million

Care: Expanding the Nursing School

Empowering Students, Building Careers:

  • Recruitment of students into the nursing profession
  • Training nurses for Waveny and Fairfield County
  • Tuition-free education
  • Earn-as-you-learn
  • Flexible class schedules designed to meet students’ needs
  • Immediate employment opportunities in healthcare after certification or licensing
  • A proven pathway to further nursing careers

FUNDING THE PROJECT

Nursing School Expansion Goal: $2 million

Enhances training facilities, expands enrollment, and provides students with the tools and resources needed for success.

Protect: Bridging the Financial Gap

Uncompensated Care Fund:

  • Ensures residents who outlive their resources can remain at Waveny
  • Bridges the gap between Medicaid reimbursements and actual care costs
  • Supports older adults who are uninsured, underinsured, or unable to pay out-of-pocket expenses
  • Relieves families from the financial strain of caregiving

FUNDING THE PROJECT

Uncompensated Care Fund Goal: $2 million

Raised through outright pledges and Legacy Gifts to support seniors who have outlived their financial resources.
