For the 12th consecutive year, Karl Chevrolet has returned as the Hole-In-One sponsor of Waveny LifeCare Network’s annual ‘Swinging for Seniors’ Golf and Tennis Outing, scheduled for Monday, May 19 at the Country Club of New Canaan. Karl Chevrolet will be showcasing a 2014 Chevrolet and providing golfers with the chance to win the car on the 7th hole.  Participants will also have the opportunity to win a $10,000 cash prize on an additional Hole-in-One sponsored by Stronghold Insurance & Financial Services.

“We are very excited that Waveny has asked us to continue our sponsorship for their golf and tennis event. It has become a wonderful annual tradition that celebrates all the great work that Waveny LifeCare Network does for the New Canaan community,” said Stephen J. Karl, Vice President of Karl Chevrolet. “Their organization has touched so many lives and families throughout the years with their extensive services and programming, so it is easy to step up and support their continued efforts. We are looking forward to a very enjoyable event.”

Funds raised provide financial assistance to residents and patients at Waveny Care Center, The Village at Waveny, The Inn and Waveny’s Adult Day Program who cannot afford the full cost of their care.

With two $10,000 Platinum Sponsors and eight $5,000 Gold Sponsors thus far, Karl joins a growing number of event supporters including American Transit Insurance, People’s United Bank, Barbara and John Burns, Bourgeon Capital Management, Frank and Marigrace Dubas, Employee Benefits Solutions, Four Friends of Waveny, and Morrison Senior Living.

“We are delighted to once again support ‘Swinging for Seniors,” said Sandra B. Graf, Financial Services Manager and Vice President, Peoples United Bank New Canaan. “As a proud and active member of the community we live and work in, People’s United is pleased to be associated with an organization that has done so much for its neighbors over the years.”

The ‘Swinging for Seniors’ event also features a raffle held during the reception and award ceremony that follows the event’s full day of golf and tennis. Julianne Grace, event raffle chair, announced that the number of valuable prizes donated continues to grow. “Once again, many local merchants are participating by donating wonderful prizes and we are so delighted by their eager response,” said Grace. “We urge everyone to support those who honor Waveny through their generosity. We can really make a difference by working together.”
