Rebecca Albrecht Appointed Director of Human Resources for Waveny Care Network

Rebecca Albrecht, MBA, has been appointed director of human resources for Waveny Care Network following the retirement of long-time staff member, Mary Jane Glanz. In this role, Albrecht will manage and oversee all human resources duties and staff-centered matters throughout the entire healthcare organization, which encompasses Waveny Care Center, The Village at Waveny Care Center, New Canaan Inn, as well as a variety of programs and services including a new Home Healthcare Agency.
Albrecht joins Waveny Care Network with nearly 15 years of progressive experience in the field of human resources including consulting and senior management positions with UGO Entertainment, Inc. (Hearst Interactive Media) and Primedia Inc. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of human resources for UGO Entertainment where she oversaw functions focusing on employee relations, recruitment and retention, and spearheaded staff-focused initiatives in variable compensation design, performance management, departmental restructuring, succession planning and acquisition diligence and integration.

Albrecht holds an undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College of Saint Peter, MN and a Master of Business Administration from Sacred Heart University of Fairfield, Conn.
