Waveny Invites all for Antique Appraisals on "Main Street" at Community-wide Village Birthday Celebration
Posted on October 14, 2011
New Canaan – On Thursday, November 10, 2011, between 4 and 6 p.m., Waveny Care Network welcomes guests to join in a evening of “Antique Appraisals on ‘Main Street’” at The Village at Waveny Care Center, 3 Farm Road, New Canaan. This special community event is being held in celebration of The Village at Waveny Care Center’s 10th anniversary of serving the community.
The Village’s “10th Birthday Party” will feature street fair cuisine and free verbal evaluations of antiques and art by professional local appraisers. In appreciation of a decade of community support, the event as a whole – including appraisals – is being offered free of charge to attendees. Due to anticipated high volume, Waveny respectfully asks guests to observe a limit of two appraisals each and to bring in photos of large objects rather than the pieces themselves. Firearms, regardless of age and functionality, are prohibited.
“We had such a positive response to last year’s Antique Appraisal event that we’ve decided to celebrate The Village’s first decade of service in a similar fashion,” said Heather Neff, Chief Executive Officer of Waveny Care Network. “We are incredibly delighted to host this exciting event, and think it’s something that New Canaanresidents will truly enjoy.”
An on-site panel of local appraisers will include:
- Peter Curran of Wilton
- Ann Marenakos of Adelaide Fine Art, New Canaan, who specializes in American paintings
- Patricia Funt Oxman of Patricia Funt Antiques, New Canaan, who specializes in “smalls” and Victorian jewelry
To help assist in event preparation, Waveny requests that you kindly RSVP toKristin Sinatra, Waveny’s Director of Marketing, at 203.594.5420.
