New Canaan – In the holiday spirit of giving and generosity, Connolly, a Recovery Audit firm with an audit support center in Wilton, Conn. recently donated eight refurbished laptops to Waveny Care Network of New Canaan. The laptops will be used by patients, residents and Adult Day Program participants within Waveny’s comprehensive continuum of care, for activities including games, email, web browsing and Skype® video chat with loved ones.

This donation to Waveny is just the most recent part of Connolly’s larger, continuing act of giving throughout the greater Fairfield County community, which has included the donation of laptops, food, and mentoring materials to several local nonprofits.

“We are so grateful for this wonderful donation, which will enable those we serve to do interactive internet-based activities on a daily basis at Waveny,” said Dalila Berlingo, Director of Therapeutic Recreation at Waveny. “These laptops will allow us to do online programming on a larger scale than ever before. Applying laptop technology to leisure activities will include sharing and receiving pictures, chatting over the internet with loved ones, and so much more. Our Therapeutic Recreation department is delighted to help Waveny continue to lead the way in technology and innovation.”

“We believe strongly in giving back to the communities in which we live and work,” said Libby Alexander, CEO, Connolly Healthcare. Connolly’s Employee Activities Committee (EAC), a volunteer group that identifies and executes various charitable and social opportunities for the Wilton employees, organized the donations.
