In addition to our core physical, occupational and speech therapies, we provide therapeutic massage, nutritional counseling and health promotion programs to complement our rehabilitative services.

Whether you are receiving therapy at Waveny on an inpatient or outpatient basis, our highly experienced rehabilitation therapy staff will effectively treat and support you in reaching your highest potential while strictly adhering to your doctor's orders. Whether following an inpatient stay, or aiding in the recovery from an injury, illness or other type of medical condition that requires rehabilitative therapy, Waveny Care Center's Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are available to everyone age 16 and above.

Also, for your convenience, we offer the opportunity to prearrange short-term post-operative inpatient stays at Waveny Care Center in advance of scheduled joint-replacement procedures.

Physical Therapy Our physical therapists are committed to providing an optimum level of care and always strive for excellence in practice. They employ exercise and therapeutic strategies to address impairments resulting from orthopedic, neurological or cardiopulmonary disorders, and provide the expertise and motivation necessary to help patients reach their goals.

Occupational Therapy
For those whose ability to function has been impaired by physical injury, disease or disability, our occupational therapists can help to increase or restore the highest level of independence in activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, dressing, homemaking, and social experiences, through specialized activities designed to improve function.

The revolutionary Bioness® NESS H200™ hand device accelerates rehabilitation, intensifies therapy and may help return lost hand function to patients affected by stroke or spinal cord injury.

The discreet Bioness® NESS L300™ leg device assists patients who are affected by Drop Foot as a result of neurological disorders including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy. In addition to facilitating a more fluid gait, the device may help return lost leg function.

Speech Therapy
Our speech therapists work with patients who have undergone procedures affecting speech and language capabilities or who have impairments due to a neurological disorder, which can affect speech, swallowing and cognition.

Therapeutic Massage
Our massage therapy services provide a holistic approach to overall health and well-being. A therapeutic massage may help to reduce stress, increase flexibility and range of motion, speed recovery from injury or illness and help alleviate pain.

We invite people from everywhere to take advantage of our excellent inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services. We offer a convenient location with dedicated parking for our outpatient rehab patients.
